Hyeseong Kim goes on the IL with bursitis in his left shoulder and Tommy Edman is playing with a recurring ankle issue, creating an opportunity for Freeland.

The Los Angeles Dodgers called up infielder Alex Freeland and placed infielder Hyeseong Kim on the 10-day injured list before Tuesday night’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.

Freeland, who graduated from Mariner in 2020, worked his way through the Dodgers system after playing at UCF and will join the team in Cincinnati.
