TAMPA, Fla. — No one expected Michigan football to come into Raymond James Stadium and upset the vaunted Alabama Crimson Tide. However, the Wolverines took the Jan. 1 game against Alabama and returned the favor again on Dec. 31 to close out the bookended calendar year.

Michigan's defense sacked Jalen Milroe five times and forced three turnovers by the Alabama quarterback to lead the Wolverines to a 19-13 victory over the 11th-ranked Crimson Tide in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

TAMPA, Fla.— In its final exam to end the first season of the Kalen DeBoer era, Alabama football condensed the highs and lows of its entire 2024 season into 60 minutes. For the Crimson Tide, the bad outweighed the good is it lost 19-13 to Michigan in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl to secure Alabama's first season without 10 wins since 2007.
