DHS Secretary Kristi Noem dismisses House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ warning over possible arrests of Democratic lawmakers after ICE protest clash in New Jersey.

A Department of Homeland Security ( DHS) official confirmed Saturday that arrests of Democratic members of Congress "is definitely on the table" following a confrontation at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE) facility in Newark, New Jersey.

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) rebuffed recent comments by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) supporting his Democratic colleagues, who attended a protest opposing the Trump administration’s deportation of illegal immigrants.

The Trump administration warned three Democratic lawmakers Saturday that arrests are “on the table” after they participated in a protest at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Newark, where the city’s Mayor Ras Baraka was collared.

Large yellow barricades were at the front of Delaney Hall on Tuesday morning following protests at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility on Monday and last week.

"You lay a finger on Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman or any of the Representatives that were there… we’re going to have a problem," Ocasio-Cortez warned.
