According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.7 square miles, all land. Included is a 0.25-mile wide strip of annexed land along Interstate 40, from Prairie County's western border to the White River. Because of this small access to the Interstate this area is known as a speedtrap for motorists. Nearby towns are Des Arc, De Valls Bluff, Ulm and Fredonia.
