I don't remember that the place had a lift! But anyways, it's not a museum and just a studio where you can get some 3D pictures clicked! Nothing spectacular. So even if you miss it, it's okay!
I'm wondering if this is a good place for solo visitors? No one to take photos? would staff be willing to help?

They are friendly and more than willing to help you with photos. They are easy to strike a conversation with, so you won't really feel awkward. Pretty good for solo traveler as well.
